Japan Airlines (JAL) has started selling ‘JAL Domestic Travel Insurance’, a domestic travel accident insurance offered by Zurich Insurance Company, on its domestic flight booking site from July 1.
With this service, customers can sign up for travel insurance at the same time as booking their flight tickets on the website. The insurance covers injuries during the trip, damage to personal belongings, and liability for damages caused to third parties as basic coverage, preparing for various troubles during domestic travel. By choosing a plan that includes ‘Cancellation Fee Coverage’, the cancellation costs of flight tickets due to unavoidable reasons such as transportation delays or event cancellations are also covered.
The two companies began selling international travel insurance on their international flight booking site starting from February 2023.
