Keihan to Launch Revival Livery of Series 2200 from July 28
Keihan Electric Railway will initiate the operation of the Series 220 because of its revival livery starting from July 28.
The launch celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Series 2200 operations. A trainset of the Series 2200 (7 cars) will be restored to its 1988 appearance, including the car body paint and car number plates, along with displaying a revival livery headmark. The other three sets of the Series 2200 will feature a 60th-anniversary headmark. The headmarks will be displayed from July 27 to August 31.
A sales event featuring Keihan train original goods, focusing on the Series 2200 merchandise, will be held on July 27. The location is SANZEN⁻HIROBA (KUZUHA MALL Minami-kan, Hikarino Mall 1F). The time is from 11 am to 2 pm. Also, an exhibition related to the Series 2200 will be held from July 27 to November 28. The exhibition hours are from 10 am to 6 pm.
To commemorate the 60th debut anniversary, Osaka-Kyoto one-day tour tickets and Kyoto one-day tour tickets will be released in a special design. These will be available from July 27, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
