JR East and Kirin Brewery to Operate ‘E501 SAKIGAKE Summer Evening Beer Train’ on August 30th, Departing from Mito Station

JR East and Kirin Brewery announced the operation of the ‘E501 SAKIGAKE Summer Evening Beer Train’ on August 30th.

The train utilizes a 5-car E501 series ‘E501 SAKIGAKE’. It offers a unique experience where passengers can enjoy a ‘Special Snack Set’ featuring Hitachi beef, among other delicacies, along with Kirin Brewery’s ‘Harekaze’ beer and Kiuchi Brewery’s ‘Hitachino Nest Beer Grapefruit Lager’. The outbound trip departs Mito Station at 6:18 PM, stopping at Takahagi Station at 7:06 PM. The return trip leaves Takahagi Station at 7:14 PM, arriving back at Mito Station at 8:33 PM.

The capacity is limited to 70 passengers, with tickets priced at JPY 7,000. The fee includes the train fare, snack set, about 3 cups of ‘Ichiban Shibori’ in paper cups, a 350 ml can each of ‘Harekaze’ and ‘Kirin Free Lemon’, and a 330 ml bottle each of ‘Heartland’ and ‘Hitachino Nest Beer Grapefruit Lager’.

Tickets will be on sale at JRE MALL starting from July 25th at 12:30 PM. Applications from those under the age of 20 will not be accepted, and boarding or alighting at intermediate stations will not be allowed.
