Sumitomo Mitsui Card has announced that it will increase its international transaction fee starting November 1.
Currently, the fee for using credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) is 2.20%, and for debit cards (Visa) is 3.05%. After the revision, the fee will be 3.63% uniformly. Some affiliated cards will not be subject to the revised rates. The start date of the new rates does not necessarily coincide with the credit card usage date.
