Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku Line Major Suspension on April 19-20: Caution for Weekend Outings
JR Central announced that the Tokaido Shinkansen will resume operations across all sections from September 2nd.
Due to heavy rain associated with Typhoon No. 10, the service was suspended across all or some sections since August 29th.
Even today, September 1st, planned suspensions are in place between Mishima and Nagoya stations, with special timetables for turnaround operations between Tokyo and Mishima stations, and between Nagoya and Shin-Osaka stations.
Considering the impact of the heavy rain that has already fallen and the future weather conditions, there may be suspensions of some trains or prolonged suspensions of service. Given the expected high usage, passengers are urged to reserve designated seats where possible and travel accordingly.
