Uber Starts Offering Reservation Service for Haneda and Narita Airport Rides
Uber Collaborates with Times and Royal Limousine to Offer Car Sharing for Rideshare Drivers
Uber Japan, Times Mobility, and Royal Limousine have launched a car-sharing program for rideshare drivers. The program started on a trial basis on September 4th, with the aim of full-scale operation within the year.
Initially, two vehicles are deployed in Yurakucho, Tokyo, and the service area includes Tokyo’s 23 wards, along with Musashino City and Mitaka City. The available car models are Toyota’s “Sienta” and Suzuki’s “Solio”, with the standard usage fees applied. The service plans to gradually expand its bases within the target areas.
This initiative aims to provide opportunities for individuals without a personal car to become rideshare drivers, thereby supporting taxi companies in their driver recruitment efforts.
