Reiwa Travel has raised approximately 4.8 billion yen in a Series A round.
The round was led by SMBC-GB Growth 1 Investment Limited Partnership, with funding from both existing and new investors. The total amount raised to date is now approximately 7 billion yen, with investments going towards cutting-edge technology such as generative AI.
Investors include X&KSK, THE CREATIVE FUND1 Investment Limited Partnership, PKSHA Technology, Fukuoka CVC Fund－THE MUTUAL for Next 100－, 31VENTURES, Resona Capital No. 8 Investment Partnership, Dawn Capital No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership, ANRI No. 4 Investment Limited Partnership, JAFCO SV6 Investment Limited Partnership & JAFCO SV6-S Investment Limited Partnership, and Chiba Dojo No. 3 Investment Limited Partnership, among others.
Established in April 2021, Reiwa Travel has been expanding its overseas travel booking app “NEWT” and has recorded its highest total reservation transaction value for eight consecutive quarters. It plans to offer domestic travel and flight booking services soon and aims to expand its bases to countries like South Korea, Singapore, and Thailand.
Additionally, Reiwa Travel has entered into a capital and business partnership with PKSHA Technology and will start a joint project in October. They plan to work on developing new features such as a travel search experience using generative AI, an AI Travel Concierge, and dynamic pricing.
