United Airlines will launch a new service between Tokyo/Narita and Ulaanbaatar starting May 1, 2025.
The service will operate as a seasonal scheduled flight and will connect to trans-Pacific flights. In 2024, the number of visitors to Mongolia was about 500,000, with a 25% increase compared to the previous year, indicating significant access from Japan, South Korea, and Europe.
The route is currently serviced by MIAT Mongolian Airlines with six round trips a week and Aero Mongolia with two round trips a week.
