Bringing old wisdom to new generations, the Mitsui Tourism Hotel on Rebun Island, Hokkaido, will be rebranded as “Rebun Tourism Hotel Sairyu”. It will pre-open on April 1, 2025, and officially rebrand on April 24.
The hotel will feature 64 Western-style rooms, 32 Japanese-style rooms, and 4 mixed Western and Japanese-style rooms, making a total of 100 rooms. Renovations include the addition of counter spaces at windows and the installation of wallpapers and artworks inspired by Rebun Island, as well as crafts by Hokkaido artists. The facilities include a large public bath fed by Rebun hot springs, a restaurant, banquet halls, laundry corner, and a shop. Additionally, Wi-Fi has been installed throughout the property.
Dining options include a buffet-style meal with both Japanese and Western dishes at the ocean view restaurant, where guests can enjoy a view of Mount Rishiri. This will include local seafood and ingredients from Hokkaido. Alcoholic beverages such as the Hokkaido-exclusive Sapporo Classic beer will also be available with dinner. The hotel is open from April to November and closed during the winter months.
Access to the hotel is approximately 2 minutes by car and about 10 minutes on foot from the Kafuka Port ferry terminal.
