North Atlantic Airways is set to open a route from Rome to Los Angeles starting May 22, 2025.
The flights from Rome will depart on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, whereas flights from Los Angeles will leave on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, operating three round trips per week. The aircraft used will be the Boeing 787-9. The flight duration is scheduled to be 12 hours and 40 minutes from Rome and 11 hours and 40 minutes from Los Angeles. This route is being introduced to cater to the increasing demand for transatlantic flights.
ITA Airways also operates this route with three weekly round trips and plans to gradually increase the frequency to one round trip per day.
