Turkish Airlines Launches Flights from Osaka/Kansai to Istanbul with Four Round-Trips Weekly
British Airways to Reduce Flights on London Heathrow-Shanghai Pudong Route from February 12 to March 28, 2025
British Airways will reduce flights on the London Heathrow-Shanghai Pudong route.
Currently operating one round trip per day, the airline will temporarily reduce this to three round trips per week from February 12 to March 28, 2025. Departures from London Heathrow will be on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while departures from Shanghai Pudong will be on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Boeing 787 aircraft will be used for these flights. The flight duration from London Heathrow is approximately 12 hours and 35 minutes, and from Shanghai Pudong, it is approximately 15 hours and 15 minutes.
This route is British Airways’ only mainland China route, and the service to Beijing Capital has been suspended from the winter schedule.
The withdrawal and suspension of Chinese routes by European carriers have been following one another. Due to increased competition from Chinese airlines that do not need to bypass Russian airspace, resulting in a significant difference in flight durations of up to three hours or more on this route.
