British Airways Invests Millions to Expand Maintenance Facility in Cardiff
British Airways is investing millions of pounds in its engineering maintenance facility in Cardiff.
One of the three existing maintenance bays at British Airways Maintenance Cardiff (BAMC) will be expanded to accommodate the larger, long-haul Airbus A350 aircraft. Currently, it caters only to Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 aircraft, but this expansion will make it possible to support multiple aircraft types, thereby streamlining maintenance operations.
This is part of a £7 billion transformation investment and is slated to begin in 2025 with completion expected by 2026. It will employ 480 people, supporting the economy of Wales.
