Hotel New Otani Tokyo Offers ‘Super Afternoon Tea ~Amaou~’
Hotel New Otani Tokyo will offer a ‘Super Afternoon Tea ~Amaou~’ for a limited time on weekdays from December 2 to 13, and from January 9 to March 31, 2025.
The upper tier by Patisserie SATSUKI features limited-time Amaou strawberry sweets including a ‘New Super Amaou Shortcake’ made with Hakata Amaou strawberries, fresh cream from Kyushu Omuta, and Taiyo eggs, ‘Amaou Pudding’ with layers of Hakata Amaou strawberries, and ‘Amaou Jelly’. The middle tier by Pierre Hermé Paris offers five varieties of cakes, including ‘Mille-feuille Infiniment Vanille’ with caramelized puff pastry and vanilla-flavored mascarpone cream, and ‘Herme Care Envie’ with violet-flavored vanilla crème brûlée and cassis gelée coated in white chocolate on top of a sablé.
The lower tier features Japanese cuisine, such as Temari sushi made by sushi chefs using red vinegar, ‘Gindara no Saikyo-yaki’ which is silver cod marinated in Saikyo miso and mirin then grilled, and thick omelets. A special dessert with semi-dried Hakata Amaou strawberries kneaded into the dough, topped with Hakata Amaou strawberry powder and freeze-dried strawberries, is also provided on the side.
Beverages offered include Darjeeling tea from the Makaibari tea estate, Earl Grey, green tea herbal blend, and hibiscus & cinnamon.
The location is the top floor’s panoramic dining ‘VIEW & DINING THE SKY’ at The Main. Available times are from 2 PM and from 2:30 PM, each for two-hour durations. The price is 12,000 yen, service charge not included.
