Hawaiian Airlines to Withdraw from Tokyo/Narita to Honolulu Route, Opens New Seattle Service
Hawaiian Airlines to Launch Tokyo/Narita to Seattle Route Starting May 12, 2025
Hawaiian Airlines is set to launch a Tokyo/Narita to Seattle route on May 12, 2025.
The service, subject to government approval, will operate one round trip per day using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The flight duration is scheduled to be 9 hours and 40 minutes from Tokyo/Narita and 10 hours and 30 minutes from Seattle. This flight number was previously used for the Tokyo/Narita to Honolulu route.
This will allow for the optimization of supply capacity between Japan and Hawaii and the repositioning of aircraft. It will also expand options for the Tokyo/Haneda to Honolulu route, as well as continue operations on the Osaka/Kansai and Fukuoka to Honolulu routes, thereby operating a total of 24 round trips per week between Japan and Hawaii.
Hawaiian Airlines has merged with Seattle-based Alaska Airlines. This marks the first time the airline will launch a route that does not originate from or arrive at the Hawaiian Islands.
Tickets for this route are already on sale on the websites of Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines.
