Qatar Airways to Resume Flights to Canberra in December 2025
Qatar Airways is set to resume its service to Canberra, the capital city of Australia.
Starting from December 1, 2025, the flight will operate once a day via Melbourne. The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, featuring the private “QSuite” in business class and offering free high-speed Wi-Fi by Starlink, will be utilized. The flight duration from Doha is 16 hours and 20 minutes, and from Canberra is 17 hours and 20 minutes.
The service to Canberra was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. CEO Badr Mohammed Al Meer emphasized the importance of the capital city as the political center of Australia, stating, “As the capital city that naturally expects the presence of various international airline services, we are proud to play a role in providing that.”
Qatar Airways has announced plans to invest in Virgin Australia and to launch flights from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Melbourne to Doha.
