JAL Extends Mileage Validity to 5 Years

Japan Airlines (JAL) is expanding the benefits of its “JAL Life Status Program” for JAL Mileage Bank members.

Starting January 2025, the validity of miles for members below “JGC Three Star” will be extended to 60 months, while “JGC Four Star” members will enjoy unlimited validity. Currently, “JGC Five Star” and above already have unlimited mileage validity. The change will apply to miles earned from that month onward.

Furthermore, from April 2025, “JGC Six Star” members will be granted “JMB Diamond” status in the JMB FLY ON program, upgrading their oneworld alliance elite status to “Emerald”.

To commemorate the first anniversary of the program, a campaign will be held starting December 20. During the campaign period, customers who use JAL Group domestic and international flights, JAL cards, JAL Pay, and JAL Mall will earn double Life Status points. Additionally, a draw will gift 500 individuals with domestic flight award tickets “Anywhere Mile Coupons” twice.
