JR East Releases ‘Kyun Pass’: Unlimited Rides for ¥10,000 on Weekdays Including Shinkansen, Plus New Two-Day Option
Sales Begin for the ‘Thank You Chiba Free Pass’ Early Spring Edition
JR East and Chiba Prefecture have started selling the ‘Thank You Chiba Free Pass,’ which offers unlimited rides on JR lines within Chiba Prefecture, as well as selected railway, bus, and ferry services.
The pass covers unlimited travel for two consecutive days on JR East lines, Kominato Railway, Isumi Railway, Choshi Electric Railway, Ryutetsu Nagareyama Line, Hokusō Railway, Keisei Electric Railway, Shin-Keisei Electric Railway, and Shibayama Railway within Chiba Prefecture. Ordinary class seats on local JR trains are available for use, and by purchasing additional express tickets, it is also possible to ride on express trains and similar services. Moreover, specified bus routes by Kominato Railway, Kujūkuri Railway, JR Bus Kanto, Nitto Kotsu, Chiba Kotsu, Keisei Taxi Narita, and the Tokyo Bay Ferry route between Kurihama Harbor and Kanaya Harbor can be utilized. The price is 3,970 yen for adults and 1,980 yen for children.
Additionally, the ‘Thank You Chiba Free Riding Ticket,’ which includes round trips from each station in the Tokyo metropolitan area to the free area with the pass, is priced at 4,790 yen for adults and 2,390 yen for children.
The pass is available for use from January 4th to February 28th. It can be purchased up to the day of use. It is sold at major JR East stations within Chiba Prefecture and Kurihama Station. The ‘Thank You Chiba Free Riding Ticket’ will be sold at major stations within the Tokyo metropolitan area.
