Rakuten Card has started offering the ‘Rakuten Card Premium Program’ from January 1st.
The program targets members of the ‘Rakuten Black Card’, ‘Rakuten Premium Card’, and ‘Rakuten Gold Card’, awarding points for using Rakuten Bank and Rakuten Insurance.
With Rakuten Bank, when using the card for account debits, the ordinary deposit interest rate will be increased by up to 0.02%, to a maximum of 0.18%. With Rakuten Insurance’s bicycle and golf insurances, paying with Rakuten Card at the time of new contract awards Rakuten Points equivalent to up to 3% of the insurance premium. Benefits are already being provided with Rakuten Securities, Rakuten Market, Rakuten Magazine, and Rakuten Music.
In addition, to commemorate the start of the program, a campaign will begin on January 7th for Rakuten members who own a qualifying Rakuten Card, awarding additional Rakuten Points for payments made with Rakuten Pay.
