United Airlines Starts Ticket Sales for Tokyo/Narita to Ulaanbaatar Route
United Airlines has started ticket sales for its Tokyo/Narita to Ulaanbaatar route.
The service, starting on May 1 as a seasonal scheduled flight, will connect to transpacific flights. The aircraft used will be the Boeing 737-800. The flight duration is 5 hours and 25 minutes from Tokyo/Narita, and 4 hours and 50 minutes from Ulaanbaatar.
The number of visitors to Mongolia in 2024 is expected to reach about 500,000, marking a 25% increase from the previous year. There is significant access from Japan, South Korea, and Europe. The route is operated by MIAT Mongolian Airlines with 6 round trips a week and Aero Mongolia with 2 round trips a week.
United Airlines’ Tokyo/Narita routes include Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York/Newark, Guam, Saipan, and Cebu, adding year-round services to Koror and Kaohsiung to its summer schedule.
Additionally, United Airlines’ MileagePlus members can exchange miles for one-way award tickets; 30,000 miles for Economy class, and 75,000 miles for Business class.
