Japan Airlines (JAL) will suspend the Nagoya/Chubu – Shanghai/Pudong route effective March 29.
Currently, the route is operated with one round trip per day using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
A total of seven airlines, including six Chinese carriers – Air China, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, and Spring Airlines, currently operate this route.
JAL had resumed operations on this route with five round trips per week from March 2024, after suspensions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and had increased to daily round trips from October of the same year.
