London Heathrow Airport has renovated its VIP suite. The completed renovation marks the first phase, with the entire renovation scheduled to be completed over three years.
The private terminal, named ‘The Windsor by Heathrow,’ will undergo refurbishment and rebranding at a total cost of 3 million pounds.
Upgrades include lounge renovations, redesigning of the atrium, and the exhibition of artworks purchasable via QR codes. British brands such as Commune and AUGUST & PIERS have also been introduced.
Upon boarding, guests are chauffeured to their aircraft in a dedicated BMW vehicle, offered a private butler service, meals prepared by Michelin-starred chefs, personal shopper services, and exclusive customs clearance upon arrival. Prices start from 3,812 pounds for up to three people.
Heathrow Airport was the first in the world to offer private VIP services in the early 1960s, initially limited to diplomats and royalty. The service scope expanded in 2008, with commercial services officially starting in 2009. The number of VIP service users has doubled over the past decade and is expected to double again in the next three years.
Popular destinations for users include Doha, Riyadh, Dubai, Los Angeles, and New York. Frequent airlines are Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, British Airways, American Airlines, and Emirates, with around 50,000 users annually. First-class and business-class passengers can access the service regardless of their airline or terminal.
