JR East to Open ‘Kamitokoro Station’ on March 15, 2025
Daiwa Life Next is launching a new hostel brand called “GRAND HOSTEL LDK” and will open a large-scale hostel “GRAND HOSTEL LDK Tokyo Nishi-Kasai” in May.
“GRAND HOSTEL LDK” features designs incorporating natural materials and local characteristics, providing common spaces such as lounges and shared kitchens with a shared area ratio of over 10% of the total floor area and over 25% of the guest room area as standard. The common spaces are designed to be barrier-free, with universal rooms, gender-neutral toilets, and prayer spaces.
“GRAND HOSTEL LDK Tokyo Nishi-Kasai” is a complete renovation of a former sports club building. The building has five floors. There are three types of guest rooms: dormitory rooms (154 beds, 9 rooms), group private rooms (for 3 to 6 people, 9 rooms), and hotel private rooms (for 2 to 8 people, 22 rooms).
The dormitory rooms include “female-only dormitories” and “single dormitories” with private spaces, and the hotel private rooms have dedicated shower rooms, washbasins, and toilets. They also offer rooms with futon-style beds and those with an island kitchen. Common spaces include a “Beach Lounge” with a resort theme, featuring white sand around beach chairs and regular projection mapping shows. The lounge includes a guest-only cafe & bar, shared kitchen, prayer space, barrier-free and gender-neutral toilets. The location is a 4-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Nishi-Kasai Station.
Additionally, “THE STAY OSAKA Shinsaibashi” in February, and “THE STAY SAPPORO” and “THE STAY SAPPORO ANNEX” in April, will be rebranded as “GRAND HOSTEL LDK.”
