Etihad Airways Records Net Profit of AED 1.7 Billion for 2024, Attains Highest Earnings Ever

Etihad Airways announced a record net profit of AED 1.7 billion for the fiscal year ending December 2024.

The revenue reached AED 25.3 billion, a 25% increase compared to the previous year, with passenger revenue accounting for AED 20.8 billion and cargo revenue AED 4.2 billion. The airline posted its third consecutive quarter of profit, tripling its earnings from the previous year. The number of passengers increased by 32% to 18.5 million, and the seat occupancy rate rose 1% to 87%.

The number of flights expanded to over 1,700 per week, with an increase in services on 25 routes over the past two years. Announcements included new services to 20 cities, with 10 of these routes launching this year. The supply was boosted by the reintroduction of the fifth Airbus A380 and the addition of 12 more aircraft.

They approved the largest ever refurbishment program, investing AED 3 billion to enhance cabin comfort and inflight experience. Efforts also include launching a premium call center and improving productivity through the use of artificial intelligence.
