Lufthansa Group Airlines and ITA Airways have initiated a codeshare agreement.
Under this agreement, Lufthansa Group Airlines will place their flight numbers on ITA Airways-operated domestic routes within Italy from Rome/Fiumicino, as well as on international routes from Rome to Malta, Athens, Sofia, and Tirana, connecting various cities in Italy with Lufthansa Group’s hubs.
Furthermore, ITA Airways will assign its flight numbers to routes operated by Lufthansa Group Airlines connecting various European locations. In the future, this will allow access to over 250 cities.
The agreement applies to flights operating from March 30 and tickets have been on sale since February 25. Passengers can benefit from through baggage check-in to their final destination and earn or redeem miles across both airlines.
