JAL and WHILL Start Electric Wheelchair Rental in Hawaii
Japan Airlines (JAL) and WHILL will begin renting out the electric wheelchair ‘WHILL’ in Hawaii starting on December 7th.
They will offer two models for rent: the Model C2, known for its stable ride, and the foldable Model F. Prices start from $32 per day, $116 for four days, and $147 for seven days. Until March 31, 2024, a 10% discount campaign will be available exclusively for JAL cardmembers.
The wheelchairs can be rented and returned at the JALPAK Aloha Stations located at the Sheraton Waikiki and Moana Surfrider. The service is available regardless of whether customers are flying with the JAL Group or not.
The two companies entered into a capital and business alliance in 2020 and have since been discussing how to provide a stress-free and safe mobility service for travelers both inside and outside the airport.
