Luxembourg Offers a Heart-Pounding Experience at Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has unveiled its pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, which began on April 13.

The theme is “Doki Doki – Exciting Luxembourg.” Visitors can learn about sustainability and the vision of a circular society through heart-pounding experiences. A booth allows you to immerse yourself in Luxembourg’s landscapes and culture by sitting or lying on a net. You can also try the traditional game of “9-pin bowling.”

At the café, traditional Luxembourgian dishes and desserts from six contest-winning pastry chefs are on offer. Menu examples include “Gromperekichelcher” (2,300 yen), a patty made of fried potatoes garnished with salmon sashimi, and the “Matcha Mirabelle Cake” (1,200 yen) featuring layers of matcha, white chocolate gnash, and plum mousse. Drinks include Luxembourgish beer and wine.

The location is Connecting Zone C-02, open from 9 AM to 9 PM. No reservation is required, and the experience takes about 30 minutes.

The Osaka-Kansai Expo, under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” is held from April 13 to October 13 at Yumeshima, Osaka, spanning 184 days. As of February, 158 countries and regions, along with seven international organizations, have expressed participation. Ticket prices for adults 18 and over are 7,500 yen for a day pass, 6,000 yen for a weekday pass, and 3,700 yen for an evening pass valid after 5 PM. Mid-range and child tickets are available for ages 12-17 and 4-11, respectively, while entry is free for children under 3. The venue is open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM.
