Kura Sushi Opens ‘Kura Sushi Osaka/Kansai Expo Store’ Offering Domestic and International Sushi and Cuisine [Osaka/Kansai Expo 2025]

Kura Sushi has opened the ‘Kura Sushi Osaka/Kansai Expo Store’ at the Osaka/Kansai Expo, which commenced on April 13.

Specialties from municipalities with comprehensive cooperation agreements and their sister cities are offered on the conveyor belt. Examples of the menu include Mikan Madai (Ehime Prefecture, Uwajima City), Zunda Mochi (Miyagi Prefecture, Sendai City), Maaji (Wakayama Prefecture, Gobou City), and Hamo soup stock (Tokushima Prefecture, Anan City), all priced at 300 yen. Wajima-nuri lacquerware, handcrafted, is sold at 20,000 yen. Additionally, 70 types of dishes representing 70 countries and regions are offered, all tax-included.

The location is inside the Lounge & Dining near the Wind Plaza. Business hours are from 10 AM to 9 PM (last entry at 8:30 PM). There are 338 seats available. Reservations are possible.

The Osaka/Kansai Expo is held under the theme of ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’ and takes place at Yumeshima, Osaka, from April 13 to October 13, over 184 days. As of February, 158 countries and regions and 7 international organizations have expressed their intention to participate. The ticket price for adults aged 18 and over is 7,500 yen for a one-day ticket, 6,000 yen for a weekday ticket, and 3,700 yen for an evening ticket available for entry after 5 PM. Pricing is also set for youths aged 12-17 and children aged 4-11. Entry is free for children under 3. Opening hours are from 9 AM to 10 PM daily.
