ZIPAIR Tokyo Launches Ticket Sales for Summer Schedule on Tokyo/Narita to Vancouver Route
American Airlines and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are offering International Remote Baggage Screening (IRBS) on select routes.
After arriving at a U.S. airport from a designated international airport, travelers can proceed through immigration, continue to the TSA checkpoint, and board their connecting flight. Previously, travelers were required to collect their checked baggage at customs and re-check it during transit.
The IRBS aims to reduce layover times and improve the travel experience by utilizing advanced technology to conduct the baggage screening process remotely.
Initially, the implementation will be focused on flights from Sydney to Los Angeles, in collaboration with Sydney Airport Corporation, BagCheck, and Brock Solutions, with plans for expansion in the future.
