Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort Offers ‘Flower Garden Afternoon Tea’ for 10 People a Day
Sheraton Grand Hiroshima Hotel is hosting a “Matcha Afternoon Tea” featuring Japanese sweets such as matcha and hojicha from May 7 to June 30.
The “Traditional” afternoon tea includes seasonal sweets made using matcha from renowned regions, such as “Uji Matcha Cheesecake” made with cheese and fresh cream from Hokkaido, “Yame Matcha Opera” combing Yame matcha with Ghanaian chocolate, “Caramel Uji Matcha Sable” accented with caramel and matcha powder, and “Matcha Sacristan,” which is a pie sandwiched with fresh cream and custard topped with a sauce blended with Ise and Nishio matcha. In addition to these eight types of seasonal sweets, it offers six varieties of savory items featuring seasonal ingredients like “Escargot Bourguignon Wrapped in Phyllo Dough” and “Red and White Terrine with Smoked Salmon and Caviar.” The scones include “Prune and Orange Scone” and “Matcha White Chocolate Chip Scone” served with seasonal fruit compote, clotted cream, and butter. Also available is the “Casual” afternoon tea, which serves four types of seasonal sweets and one scone on a single plate. The “Traditional” can be changed to an “Anniversary Plate” with a celebratory message free of charge (reservation required by the day before).
The venue is the lobby lounge “&More by Sheraton” on the lobby floor. It is served from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The price is 4,700 yen for the “Traditional” and 3,000 yen for the “Casual,” inclusive of tax and service charge.
