Rakuten Mobile Supports In-flight Roaming on International Flights
Philippine Airlines has updated its guidelines on the carriage and use of mobile batteries on flights, based on instructions from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
Passengers are required to store mobile batteries, auxiliary batteries, and spare lithium-ion batteries in seat pockets or under the seat in front, rather than in overhead compartments or checked luggage.
Moreover, mobile batteries over 160Wh cannot be carried on board. Batteries under 100Wh are allowed up to 20 pieces without approval, and those between 101Wh and 160Wh can be carried up to two pieces with prior approval. To prevent short circuiting, they must be individually packaged. Charging of mobile batteries is prohibited.
