EVA Air will resume operations on the Matsuyama-Taipei/Taoyuan route starting from March 6, 2024.
The service will resume with two round-trip flights per week on Wednesdays and Sundays. From March 20 to April 30, the frequency will increase to four round-trip flights per week, with additional flights on Thursdays and Saturdays, to meet the travel demand during the cherry blossom season. The airline previously operated charter flights in spring and autumn, with a 98% load factor, showing strong demand.
The Airbus A321 aircraft will be used for this route. The flight time is 2 hours and 50 minutes from Matsuyama and 2 hours and 20 minutes from Taipei/Taoyuan.
With the resumption of this service by EVA Air, the number of international flights departing and arriving at Matsuyama will reach a record high of 12 round-trip flights per week, including Seoul/Incheon and Busan routes. The resumption of operations by EVA Air is expected to create an economic impact of approximately 1.168 billion yen per year.
