AirAsia X Suspends Nairobi Route Due to Lower-than-Expected Demand
Asiana Airlines will reduce three European routes sequentially starting from April 25.
The Seoul/Incheon–Rome route will be reduced from five round trips per week to four starting April 25, the Seoul/Incheon–Frankfurt route will decrease from one round trip per day to four round trips per week starting April 30, and the Seoul/Incheon–Paris/Charles de Gaulle route will reduce from six round trips per week to five starting May 12.
This comes as a corrective measure requested by the European Union’s (EU) Fair Trade Commission due to the integration with Korean Air. The two companies had to transfer four overlapping routes to T’way Air. The affected routes include the three that are being reduced and the Seoul/Incheon–Barcelona route.
T’way Air will open the Seoul/Incheon–Rome and Paris/Charles de Gaulle routes in August 2024, the Seoul/Incheon–Barcelona route in September 2024, and the Seoul/Incheon–Frankfurt route in October 2024.
