AirAsia X Suspends Nairobi Route Due to Lower-than-Expected Demand
Hong Kong Airlines launched the Hong Kong to Hulunbuir route on April 29.
They operate one round-trip per week on Tuesdays, with an additional Thursday operation starting from June 5. This is based on the Belt and Road strategy promoted by the Chinese government with the aim of fostering mutual exchanges.
Hulunbuir is a city in China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The inaugural flight to Hulunbuir was greeted by representatives from the local government and the airport company, and the captain and cabin crew were presented with Hada and bouquets. The Urumqi Arts Troupe welcomed them with songs and dances.
Hong Kong Airlines has expanded its routes, including flights to Dunhuang, Xining, Vientiane, and Danang, and will begin service to Sydney on June 20.
