The Westin Miyako Kyoto will hold a “Kyoto Buffet with Early Summer Vegetables” from May 1 to June 30.
A vegetable sommelier will select seasonal vegetables from Kansai farmers, offering a menu that utilizes the bounty of early summer Kyoto. Example dishes include “Seared Bonito with Water Eggplant Salad,” “Eggplant and Tomato Pasta,” and “Red Fish Grilled with Green Onion Miso” for lunch, and “Eggplant in Broth with Aromatic Vegetables,” “Green Asparagus and Tomato Stir-fry with Egg,” and “Fried Maru Eggplant with Crab Fish Cake” for dinner. Only during dinner, a cart service with fresh tuna sashimi will be offered.
The location is the second-floor all-day dining “Rakkyo.” Service hours are weekdays (excluding Fridays) from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm for lunch, and on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, a two-part system at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. Dinner is available on weekdays (same) from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, a two-part system at 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Prices start from 6,000 yen for lunch and 8,000 yen for dinner, all inclusive of tax and service charge.
