Lufthansa German Airlines has made messaging services free on all long-haul routes.
Regardless of cabin class, passengers can log into FlyNet using the email address registered with Miles & More or Lufthansa Group Travel ID to send and receive messages, including photos, for free.
This initiative is supported by Mastercard. Passengers can also register for these IDs during the flight.
