Kawasaki King Skyfront Tokyu REI Hotel will offer ‘Mango and Tropical Afternoon Tea’ from June 1 to July 31.
The theme of the afternoon tea changes each season, and for this first-time attempt, it features a lineup that includes mango-based sweets and other tropical fruits.
On the top tier, guests can enjoy a refreshing glass shortcake with mango chunks and yogurt cream, along with rich mango pudding with a smooth texture. The middle tier offers pound cake harmonized with coconut aroma and subtle sweetness of pineapple, and scones dusted with desiccated coconut. Savory options include smoke-scented, fresh vegetable and refreshing-tasting smoked salmon lomilomi style, and garlic shrimp paired with crispy garlic aroma and the fresh acidity of grapefruit.
Additionally, as a welcome plate, sandwiches with slow-cooked pork over 12 hours, salad using vegetables from Kanagawa area, and mango mojito drinks are provided.
The venue is on the 5th floor at ‘Captain’s Grill and Bar’. Service times are on weekdays at 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM in two shifts, and on weekends and holidays from 2:00 PM, all lasting for 2 hours. Limited to 3 groups of 6 people per session, reservation is required. The price is 4,500 yen, including tax and service charge.
