Lufthansa Group airlines are expanding their codeshare agreement with ITA Airways to include long-haul routes.
Starting July 1, Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines will implement codeshare operations with ITA Airways on long-haul routes. In the coming weeks, routes to Asia and Africa will also be added.
The airlines have already implemented codeshare on short-haul routes, enabling a seamless and consistent experience, including singular booking, check-in, and baggage handling. Customers can also earn and redeem miles or points mutually within their respective mileage programs.
