ANA Holiday Inn Resort Karuizawa is set to open on September 12th, with reservations now available for both lodging and the adjoining golf course.
The resort is a rebranding of the President Resort Karuizawa, operated by IHG Hotels & Resorts. The resort features a total of 102 rooms, including 100 rooms in the hotel building and two dog-friendly cottages allowing stays with pets. The hotel building offers four types of guest rooms: Standard, Premium, Kids Suite, and Family Suite, many of which offer views of Mount Asama.
Within the resort, guests can enjoy a restaurant, lounge, natural hot spring “Aioi-no-Yu,” indoor pool, kids room, and fitness gym. Adjacent to the resort, guests can partake in casual golfing at the Nature Hills Karuizawa Country Club (18 holes), enjoy the Karuizawa Snow Park (6 courses) suitable for families with children and beginners, or stay at the Karuizawa Sky Park campgrounds, which are open for a limited time. Karuizawa Sky Park allows pets, and guests of the hotel can make use of the accompanying dog run before leaving their pets at the dog hotel.
The resort is accessible via a 40-minute shuttle bus ride from JR/Shinano Railway Karuizawa Station and a 50-minute drive via Route 146 from the Usui-Karuizawa Interchange (IC) on the Joshin-etsu Expressway.
