Qatar Airways resumed operations at 6:25 AM Japan time (12:25 AM local time) on June 24 following the reopening of Qatar’s airspace.
Due to the airspace closure, two flights from Japan to Doha had altered their destinations, but both have now arrived in Doha. Flight QR809 from Tokyo/Narita had diverted to Ahmedabad, and flight QR803 from Osaka/Kansai had diverted to Bengaluru.
Qatar Airways stated, “Our current focus is to assist passengers in returning or reaching their next destination safely and smoothly. We are working diligently with government officials and authorities to restore operations as quickly as possible. To support affected passengers by minimizing disruptions, we have deployed additional ground staff at Hamad International Airport and other major airports, providing maximum care and support to all our customers.”
