JAL Cancels Tokyo/Haneda-Doha Route Flights Until July 2
The Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) announced its decision to grant traffic rights for the Osaka/Kansai to Kuala Lumpur route requested by Batik Air Malaysia.
According to the announcement, flights will operate four round trips per week starting from July. This route is currently served by Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia X.
MAVCOM determines the allocation of traffic rights by considering demand, user benefit, service quality, and the impact on Malaysian airports and the aviation industry. It retains the authority to temporarily suspend or revoke the decision if the airline awarded the rights fails to comply with conditions. Allocated airlines must commence all granted flights within six months from the start date of the validity period, or the unused rights will be revoked.
