Air India will cancel some flights on the Tokyo/Haneda to Delhi route due to equipment inspections following a crash near Ahmedabad airport.
Following the instructions of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of India, inspections of their Boeing 787 aircraft are being conducted, resulting in a 15% reduction in long-haul operations.
New cancellations include departures from Tokyo/Haneda on July 21 and 28, with Delhi departures being the day before each. Passengers with reservations will be offered rebooking on alternate flights or cancellations.
Additionally, routes to and from Vancouver, Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, London, Birmingham, Paris, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Milan, Nairobi, Kathmandu, Bangkok, Seoul, Sydney, and Melbourne will be affected.
