Westin Hotel Tokyo offers two types of afternoon tea, “Summer Fruits Afternoon Tea,” at the lobby lounge “The Lounge.”
The weekday-only “Summer Fruits Weekday Afternoon Tea” features summer desserts such as “Peach Blancmange” layered with fruit, puree, and jelly; and “Melon and Pineapple Glass with Almond Cream,” which spreads the sweetness and tartness of fruits and the sweetness of almond cream. These are served on an original glass plate. Savories include items such as “Foie Gras Cream and Semi-dried Fig Croissant Sandwich” and “Tart of Prosciutto and Marinated Quincy Melon,” which are carefully crafted with select ingredients. Available from July 1 to August 29, with two-hour sessions starting at noon and 12:30 PM. The last order is 30 minutes before closing. The fee is 7,500 yen, tax and service charge included.
The weekend and holiday-only “Summer Fruits Afternoon Tea” offers menus enjoying summer flavors such as “White Peach and Lychee Blancmange” layered with lychee-flavored blancmange, white peach fruit, and sauce, as well as “Mango Cheese Terrine” with a fruity terrine feel. The limited scones made on the morning of the day are provided with a special flavor combining the aroma of mango and apricot, finished with a carefully made dough using yogurt and buttermilk. Available from July 5 to August 31. The first session starts at 11:30 AM, with nine two-hour sessions in total. The last order is 30 minutes before closing. The fee is 8,900 yen, tax and service charge included. Both afternoon teas require online reservation and online prepayment.
