Etihad Airways Receives First Airbus A321LR from AerCap

Etihad Airways has received its first Airbus A321LR aircraft in Hamburg, Germany.

The airline plans to introduce 30 aircraft, with 10 expected to be received within the year. Out of these, 20 will be leased from AerCap Holdings. The aircraft are primarily intended for short to medium-haul routes connecting Europe and South Asia.

The seating configuration includes 160 seats: 2 First Suites, 14 Business Class seats, and 144 Economy Class seats. The First Suites feature 20-inch 4K monitors, wireless charging, and space for a guest. This is the first time First Suites are introduced on a narrow-body aircraft.

Business Class follows a “1-1” layout, offering full-flat seats up to 78 inches, equipped with 17.3-inch 4K monitors, wireless charging, and Bluetooth headphone connectivity, as well as ample storage space. Economy Class has a “3-3” layout with ergonomically designed seats that are 18.4 inches wide and offer up to 5 inches of recline. It includes 13.3-inch 4K touchscreen monitors and USB power.

The aircraft features high-speed Wi-Fi provided by Viasat, with maximum communication speeds of 1Gbps, supporting streaming video, games, and live TV.
