JR East Suspends Train Operations on Several Lines Until Last Train Due to Tsunami Warning
Nankai Electric Railway will develop the disembarkation-only platform at Namba Station Line 1 as “Platform 0 (Tentative Name).”
This is in alignment with the introduction of a new sightseeing train scheduled to start operations at the end of fiscal 2025, serving as a dedicated platform for this new train. The platform is designed to express the “sacred atmosphere of Mount Koya,” aiming to dramatize the beginning of the journey from Namba to Mount Koya via the “Koya Route.”
In conjunction with the construction, the disembarkation-only platform at Line 1 will be closed from August 2, and both boarding and disembarkation will be handled at the current boarding platform.
