Japan Airlines (JAL) has changed the mileage partnership routes with Garuda Indonesia starting from July 1.
The two airlines began a joint venture on April 1, and until June 30, all flights operated by Garuda Indonesia were eligible for JAL flight mileage accumulation and JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) partner airline award tickets.
From July 1, the eligible routes have been modified to include some routes including those to Japan. The eligible international routes are Tokyo/Haneda to Jakarta and Denpasar, and the Indonesian domestic routes are Jakarta to Denpasar, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Balikpapan, Banda Aceh, Kualanamu, Lombok, Manado, Padang, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Solo, Sorong, Semarang, Makassar, and Denpasar to Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Balikpapan, Sorong, Makassar. Mileage accumulation also applies to code-share flights operated by JAL with Garuda Indonesia flight numbers.
