Uber and JAL Launch Collaborative Campaign with Miles and Ride Discounts
Kumamoto International Airport and NearMe have launched the “Aso Kumamoto Airport Shuttle Taxi” service starting July 1.
As a means of transportation connecting the airport with surrounding areas, in addition to being used as a regular chartered taxi, the service introduces a “ride-sharing” option to share the ride with other passengers heading in the same direction.
The fare is pre-determined on the app based on the distance of the planned route from the boarding location to the drop-off location, and it varies depending on the presence of ride-sharing. It is available at a lower price than regular taxi fares.
The “Aso Kumamoto Airport Shuttle Taxi Campaign” is being conducted. For rides between the airport and Yamaga City, Kikuchi City, Takachiho Town, and Kumamoto Port, a 30% discount on the fare is offered to those who book with ride-sharing. Before making a reservation, it is necessary to obtain the “30% off coupon” posted on the web page. The campaign period runs from July 1 to September 30 and ends once the subsidy limit is reached.
