Hisatsu Orange Railway has suspended operations between Yatsushiro and Higo-Taaura Stations due to heavy rain.
Landslides have been confirmed between Yatsushiro and Higo-Takada Stations and within Higo-Takada Station, as well as landslide inflow and outflow between Higo-Takada and Hinagu Onsen Stations. Restoration is expected to take more than a month.
Operations have resumed between the safe-completed Higo-Taaura and Sendai Stations, excluding some trains.
