Chubu International Airport has introduced a ‘peak season parking fee’ for its general parking lot.
The measure aims to alleviate traffic congestion within the airport and will apply during peak travel periods such as Golden Week, Obon, and New Year’s holidays. For the fiscal year 2023, it will be set from December 27 to January 5, 2024.
The revised fees will be 500 yen per hour after the first two hours (usually 300 yen), with a daily maximum of 3,000 yen (usually 1,600 yen), and a flat rate of 15,000 yen for the sixth to thirtieth day (usually 8,000 yen). For a 24-hour period that spans from a regular day to a peak season day, regular season rates apply; for a 24-hour period that spans from a peak season day to a regular day, peak season rates apply.
