Hilton Nagoya to Host French Chic Patisserie Autumn Sweets Buffet (Aug 21 – Nov 2)
Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower will offer seasonal late-night parfaits and cocktails inspired by the Obara Shikizakura in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, from September 12 to November 30.
The theme is Obara Shikizakura. The Obara Shikizakura, seen in the Obara district of Toyota City in Aichi Prefecture, is known as a rare cherry blossom that blooms twice a year, in spring and autumn.
The “Late-Night Parfait – Temptation of Grapes and Sweet Potato” (2,200 yen a la carte / 3,200 yen with drink set) is garnished with baked confections shaped like maple leaves and cherry blossom petals to evoke “Obara Shikizakura.” Grapes are prepared to deliver different textures as granita, jelly, and compote, layered with sweet potato-flavored custard cream, a salty crumble, and red fruits.
The cocktail “Akizakura (Autumn Cherry Blossom)” (1,500 yen) expresses the fleeting nature of cherry blossoms that bloom in Obara’s satoyama in autumn and the beauty of turning leaves with a two-layer gradient of Cherry Blossom and orange juice. The non-alcoholic cocktail “Moonlit Cassis” (1,200 yen) is a mocktail of non-alcoholic sparkling and cassis; the natural sweetness of whole grapes, evoking the moon floating in the night sky, highlights the cassis flavor.
Location: 31st-floor restaurant “Sky Dining Tenku.” Hours: The “Late-Night Parfait – Temptation of Grapes and Sweet Potato” is available from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (last order). The cocktail “Akizakura (Autumn Cherry Blossom)” and the non-alcoholic cocktail “Moonlit Cassis” are available from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (last order). Prices include tax. Service charge and cover charge (1,000 yen) are additional.
