Jetstar Japan Cancels Flights Due to Crew Scheduling on Tokyo/Narita-Fukuoka Route
Jetstar Japan has decided to cancel two flights on December 24th due to crew scheduling issues.
According to the Jetstar Crew Association (JCA), two round trip flights, GK503/502 on the Tokyo/Narita to Fukuoka route, have been canceled due to the inability to secure an alternative captain. Jetstar Japan states the cancellation is due to crew members’ ill health.
The Jetstar Crew Association, a labor union organized by pilots and cabin crew, was formed in July 2018. Negotiations with the group had not concluded by the evening of the 21st, leading to a designated strike starting from the 22nd. There have been no cancellations until the 23rd.
